Melanie Nguyen started with Romano Litchfield and Associates in 2017 while she was finishing her accounting degree at California State University, Long Beach. While attending Cal State Long Beach, Melanie was a member in two accounting clubs: Accounting Society and Beta Alpha Psi. She implemented what she learned in her accounting courses and her clubs into Romano Litchfield’s operation, in turn leading to more efficient systems.

While navigating her college career and working part time with Romano Litchfield, Melanie was able to obtain an internship with one of the “Big Four” public accounting firms, KPMG.  Melanie’s highly focused and diligent intern performance at KPMG landed her a full-time job offer with KPMG.

Melanie accepted the job offer with KPMG and quickly began working on her CPA’s license.  She was able to pass all four tests associated with the CPA licensing process prior to starting at KPMG.  She went on to work as auditor at KPMG and successfully earned her CPA’s license.  While at KPMG, Melanie received the title of top performer numerous times during her performance reviews.

Melanie came back to Romano Litchfield in 2021 and is now serving as the company’s controller where she oversees the entire financial and cashflow operations.
